Have you ever struggled with changing your duvet cover? I have. I found a solution so I decided to write an article on the easy way to change a duvet cover.
The number one question I get asked all of the time when my clients are getting ready to do custom bedding is – Which form of bedding do I highly recommend most? The answer is always duvet, duvet, DUVET…LOL. I love duvets because they are less bulky when its time to store them away, and they do really well in the washing machine, unless you have purchased one that is to be dry cleaned only.
Changing a duvet cover can be a frustrating and time-consuming task, especially if you’re struggling to get the cover onto the duvet properly. However, there is a quick and easy way to change a duvet cover without any hassle. It's called the “burrito method.” In this blog, we'll take a closer look at how to use the burrito method to change a duvet cover.
Step 1: Turn the Duvet Cover Inside Out
The first step in changing a duvet cover using the burrito method is to turn the duvet cover inside out. This will make it easier to align the corners of the duvet with the corners of the cover.
Step 2: Lay the Duvet Cover Flat on the Bed
Once you've turned the duvet cover inside out, lay it flat on the bed with the opening at the foot of the bed. Smooth out any wrinkles or folds in the cover.
Step 3 Place the Duvet on Top of the Cover
Next, place the duvet on top of the cover, aligning the corners of the duvet with the corners of the cover.
Step 4: Roll the Duvet and Cover Together
Starting at the head of the bed, tightly roll the duvet and cover together like a burrito. Be sure to roll it as tightly as possible to avoid any wrinkles or bunching.
Step 5: Pull the Cover Over the Duvet
Once you've rolled the duvet and cover together, take the open end of the cover and pull it over the rolled-up duvet. Continue pulling the cover over the duvet until it's completely covered.
Step 6: Unroll the Burrito
Finally, unroll the burrito by pulling the duvet and cover back towards the head of the bed. The duvet cover should now be in place, with the duvet neatly tucked inside.
And that's it! By using the burrito method, you can change a duvet cover quickly and easily, without any frustration. With a little practice, you'll be able to change your duvet cover in just a few minutes. Give it a try the next time you need to change your bedding, and see for yourself how easy it can be.
